Ms. Miriam Samaru

Miriam Samaru is a graduate of the University the West Indies (Barbados) and the Hugh Wooding Law School (Trinidad and Tobago). She holds a Bachelor of Laws degree (LL.B.) and Master of Laws degree (LL.M.) in Maritime Law and Law of the Sea. She is admitted to practise in Trinidad and Tobago and Saint Lucia. She has practised law since 1982. In November 2001, she was appointed Principal of the Eugene Dupuch Law School and lectures in Ethics, Rights and Obligations of the Legal Profession.

Arthur Dion Hanna Jr. is the Director of the Legal Aid Clinic at the Eugene Dupuch Law School. He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of The West Indies and a Masters in Law from the School of African and Oriental Studies, U.K. He is a member of Inner Temple of the Bar of England, and Wales, The Bahamas Bar, The Bahamas Law Guild, the National Conference of Black Lawyers (USA) and the Society of Black Lawyers (UK)

Mrs. Hazel Thompson-Ahye

Hazel Thompson - Ahye, an attorney at law and mediator, has overall responsibility for the academic programme and lectures in the Law of Succession and Family Law. She is a member of several regional and international organizations including the International Society of Family Law, The Association of Family and Conciliation Courts and the Association For Conflict Resolution. She is the author of the book Women and Family Law and Related Issues and has presented several papers on family law issues, legal aid, juvenile justice and penal reform at conferences in the Caribbean, the United States, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Australia and South Africa.
